Senator Clint Webb Video: He tells it like it is!
Take note: "Clint" makes no claim to a party affiliation whatsoever, which further brings to mind Rory Reid's campaign strategy for the governorship of Nevada. He's tossed papa Harry unda de Bus by dropping any reference to the name Reid in his campaign ads. Visit Sister Toldjah for more on this story.

Senate Democrats united to pass a financial regulatory bill that allows the government to collect data on any person operating in financial markets at any level, including the collection of personal transaction records from local banks that list customers’ addresses and ATM receipts.
The Senate voted 59-39 on Thursday to pass the bill, the chief aim of which is to more-heavily regulate the financial industry. The bill now goes to a conference committee in the House of Representatives, where differences between the House and Senate versions will be ironed out.
The bill, if it becomes law, would create the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection and empower it to “gather information and activities of persons operating in consumer financial markets,” including the names and addresses of account holders, ATM and other transaction records, and the amount of money kept in each customer’s account.
The new bureaucracy is then allowed to “use the data on branches and [individual and personal] deposit accounts … for any purpose” and may keep all records on file for at least three years and these can be made publicly available upon request.

Harry Reid Says Republicans 'Making Love to Wall Street', but in 2008 Goldman Sachs Gave to Democrats 3 to 1 over Republicans. Can Anyone Spell PUTA?
From The Hill comes this story on Harry Reid's allegations of a secret tryst between Wall Street and the Republicans:
By Alexander Bolton - 05/05/10 01:19 PM ETSenate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) accused Republicans Wednesday of “making love to Wall Street.”
Reid charged that Republicans are stalling action on a Wall Street reform bill because “they are having difficulty determining how they’re going to continue making love to Wall Street” by resisting banking regulation. Click the linked Title above to read the whole clumsy smear
Here's how the numbers break down: $4,468,388 (75%) of Goldman largess went to Demoncrats compared to a relatively anemic $1,459,961 (25%) to Republicans. What does this make Harry Reid and his Party? Professional "Sex Therapists" perhaps?

Harry, you really are a transparent stupid piece of work.

Rasmussen Reports: Republicans Lead in 5 of 6 2010 Senate Races

PENNSYLVANIA
Its Pat Toomey's to lose, not a great lead, but still a lead. Expect privilege addicted Arlen to get really nasty on Toomey. And yes, its another referendum on the Democrat incumbent.

COLORADO

ILLINOIS
Boz's Home State, and Kirk (R) behind in only one of three potential match-ups and in that race by just 2 percentage points, probably within the margin of error.
Not too slouchy for the seat formerly held by Mr. Hope N. Change.

And finally,
from the land of Bill & Hill,
ARKANSAS
Incumbent Blanche Lincoln running behind
all 4 potential Republican opponents.

HARRY REID ARMS HIS NUKE: Health Care Reform Bill - Political News - FOXNews.com
From FoxNews.com comes this piece:
Democrats Pave Way for "Nuclear Option" in Health Care Reform Bill
The Ways and Means Committee has adjusted the health care overhaul package so that the Senate, down the road, could avoid a filibuster and pass health care reform with a smaller number of votes than normally required.
10-15-2009
A key House committee on Thursday quietly altered its health care legislation in a way that could allow the Senate to mow over Republican opposition to Democratic reforms by exploiting a budgetary loophole. The Ways and Means Committee adjusted its health care overhaul package so that the Senate, down the road, could avoid a filibuster and pass health care reform with a smaller number of votes than normally required.
The long-discussed process, nicknamed the "nuclear option," is known as reconciliation. It's coming into potential play after the Senate Finance Committee on Tuesday became the last of five committees to approve health care reform legislation, sending the overhaul proposals a big step closer to the president's desk. Before it gets there, though, the bill has to pass from the committees to the floors of the House and Senate.

Nevada Senate Race: Sue Lowden Ten Points over Harry Reid

What with 13% un-employment hammering Las Vegas, it's not a big surprise that Harry is eyeball deep in the voter's disdain - even with all the SEIU members making up much of the labor pool of Las Vegas' ALL entertainment and service based economy.
WOE IS YOU HARRY! Start looking for a new job! No doubt you'll find a new career in lobbying. But then again, maybe not; don't lobbyists tend to be much younger and more energetic guys than you? Too bad you might just have to live on that full pension you and your colleagues gave yourselves at OUR expense. Ohhh... mustn't forget all those lucrative "opportunities" that came your way over the years either.

Poll: Reid would lose if Lowden were to run
By BENJAMIN SPILLMAN
LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNALRepublican Sue Lowden would defeat incumbent Democratic Sen. Harry Reid by 6 percentage points in a head-to-head matchup, according to a poll of likely Nevada voters.
Unfortunately for Reid-bashers, Lowden isn't running -- at least not yet.
On Monday, Lowden supporters, including political strategist Robert Uithoven, disclosed the results of a poll commissioned as part of an effort to persuade the Nevada Republican Party chairwoman to run, especially if Rep. Dean Heller, R-Nev., decides not to challenge Reid.
The poll by Denver-based Vitale & Associates was conducted July 29-30 and showed that 48 percent of respondents favored Lowden to 42 percent for Reid. Ten percent were undecided. The margin of error was plus or minus 4.4 percentage points.
Of the 510 poll respondents, 44 percent identified themselves as Democrats, 38 percent as Republicans, 15 percent as independent or non-partisan, and 3 percent declined to state an affiliation.
The findings reaffirm the notion that Reid is in trouble in his home state, despite expectations that he will raise as much as $25 million to maintain his grip on the seat, said those behind the poll.
"Sue would have plenty of money to win this race," Uithoven said. "She doesn't have $25 million, but she wouldn't need it."
Pollster Todd Vitale said the most telling numbers might be the ones related to Reid.

"Cash for Votes" Bill Stumbles but Trucks On.... $2 Billion More
Oddly enough (or perhaps not, given the party in control) the Senate seems intent on pressing forward with the program against the apparent wishes of most American voters who oppose "Cash for Votes" 54% to 33%.
