CONNECTICUT LEGISLATURE MOVING TO RAM THROUGH GUN LAWS

In an extremely disturbing move, it appears that the Connecticut legislature is preparing to fast track new gun laws using an expedited process known as an "emergency certified bill" that will effectively shut the public out of deliberations by bypassing normal public hearing and committee processes.

This is an extremely dangerous path for our state legislators to follow. The tragic murders committed by a deranged young man at Sandy Hook Elementary School cannot now be prevented. The argument that there is an emergency is disingenuous at best. In fact it would be an egregious abuse of the legislature's authority to rush through the process without public participation given that Connecticut's constitution - by Article I, Section 15 - provides that Every citizen has a right to bear arms in defense of himself and the state. Nothing the legislature can now do will bring those murdered in Newtown back. In order to seek to find the best possible way to prevent a recurrence of such a terrible event in this state, the process must instead be as deliberative and transparent as possible.

To voice your concerns about the legislature using the expedited emergency certified bill mechanism, please send an email to each of the following:

Senate President Pro Tem Donald E. Williams Jr.(D-Brooklyn), House Speaker J. Brendan Sharkey(D-Hamden), House Minority Leader Lawrence F. Cafero Jr.(R-Norwalk) and Senate Minority Leader John McKinney (R-Fairfield).

Here's a Smart Guy....

Res Ipsa....

Hey, JANET HASSON, SHIT STORM COMETH....

Yes Janet, if you haven't already, time to lawyer up...

Hot off the iPress at Newsday:

Journal News map-listed guns, permits stolen from New City home, cops say

Two handguns and two pistol permits were stolen from the New City home of a man whose name and address are listed on the website of a local newspaper as possessing gun permits, police said.
The thieves ransacked the house Wednesday night, breaking into two safes on the home's third floor and stealing a third safe. The guns were in the stolen safe, police said.

Clarkstown police said they had no evidence the burglary was connected to the controversial map.

"The burglary is still under investigation and there are no facts to support this correlation at this time," Clarkstown Sgt. Joanne Fratianni said in a statement. "If the investigation develops further information, it will be released accordingly."

Family members at the burglarized home refused to speak Thursday and police are keeping reporters off the property on the quiet suburban street.

"At this early point in the investigation, we believe it is a random crime and the home was not targeted," Clarkstown Det. Lt. Charles Delo told News12. [Ed.: Bwahahahahahahaha.....]

The burglary comes less than a week after a White Plains homeowner who, too, was listed on the Journal News website as having gun permits, arrived home to find his home burglarized with jewelry missing and an attempted break-in of his gun safe. The thieves were not successful and no guns were stolen.

White Plains Police Commissioner David Chong said Monday it was "premature" to connect that burglary to the website listing but said it was part of the police investigation.

The guns that were stolen in New City included a .45 caliber Colt revolver and a .22 caliber Iver Johnson. Cash, U.S. Savings Bonds and jewelry were also stolen.

The homeowner's stolen pistol permits were for Rockland and Orange counties.

The Journal News has come under fire from elected officials and police groups for posting the interactive map Dec. 23 that showed the names and addresses of all legal gun permit holders in Westchester and Rockland counties.

The newspaper has not responded to numerous calls for comment.

The head of the White Plains Police Benevolent Association, Robert Riley, has been one of the fiercest critics of the Journal News map, saying it puts the lives of police and ordinary citizens in potential danger.

"The Journal News printed a virtual treasure map for criminals," Riley said Monday. "It lets the bad guys know who is vulnerable, due to not having a gun permit, and where to go if they wanted a gun."

“The state must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation.”

Some American Jews do understand the purpose of the Second Amendment...

As a Gentile, I have long been entirely mystified by the propensity of so many American Jews to be anti-gun ownership, especially in light of the Nazi perpetrated mass murder and ethnic cleansing known as the Holocaust. It seems as if they have, in the space of 60 years - a lifetime really -, completely forgotten their own terrible history.

What follows below is a critically important message from Rabbi Dovid Bendory who heads up Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership, I urge you to watch the video all the way through:

Comrade Pelosiva Corrects the Historical Record!

DEMOCRAT Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's office took a page straight out of Soviet Politburo history by doctoring an official photo of the Demoncrat House female caucus by photo-shopping in four House Reps who had arrived too late to be included in the official photo. No trouble of course, Pelosi was just correcting the historical record to reflect that the four dilettantes who were meant to be there and who had wished they were there, were in fact there, albeit in absentia. Pelosi's ideological kin of 1960s Moscow would have loved today's image editing technology.

A note of warning to the ladies of the caucus: You should be watchful going forward. Photoshop can also easily remove people from the historical record when the mood strikes the powers that be.

Genghis Khan - Planet Savior....

Genghis Khan has been branded the greenest invader in history - after his murderous conquests killed so many people that huge swathes of cultivated land returned to forest.
The Mongol leader, who established a vast empire between the 13th and 14th centuries, helped remove nearly 700 million tons of carbon from the atmosphere, claims a new study.
The deaths of 40 million people meant that large areas of cultivated land grew thick once again with trees, which absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
And, although his methods may be difficult for environmentalists to accept, ecologists believe it may be the first ever case of successful manmade global cooling.  [Ed., I don't think they'd have any trouble whatsoever employing Genghis's methods.]

‘It's a common misconception that the human impact on climate began with the large-scale burning of coal and oil in the industrial era,’ said Julia Pongratz, who headed the research by the Carnegie Institution's Department of Global Ecology.
.....
Though the Khan will remain known as Genghis the Destroyer and not Genghis the Green, Dr Pongratz hopes that her research will lead to future historians examining environmental impact as well as the more traditional aspects of study.

‘Based on the knowledge we have gained from the past, we are now in a position to make land-use decisions that will diminish our impact on climate and the carbon cycle,’ she said.
'We cannot ignore the knowledge we have gained.’

This one belongs in the shit you can't make up folder.

Also, something to consider:  You may want to keep that AR at hand, just in case the Gorebots decide to implement a policy to "diminish our impact on climate and the carbon cycle," at your personal expense.

Chris Fountain on why he outed LoHud Journal News Staffers

Excellent interview on CNN featuring my friend Chris Fountain explaining why he published the names and addresses of the LoHud Journal News staff in the wake of the paper's incredibly stupid disclosure of all pistol permit holders in Westchester and Rockland counties

SHARIA: La Resistance Commence...

Hopefully France is slowly awaking from it's torpor to discover it's on the verge of losing its identity.

The French love their wine, fashion, topless beaches, and casual attitude toward sex, but over the years the French were lulled into believing there would be no price to pay for allowing unfettered immigration of Muslims from North Africa. Should France not very soon change course, she will find that all of life's small pleasures like great wine or an uncovered nipple at the beach will vanish with the imposition of Sharia.

The following video gives hope that positive change is coming to France:

Libertarian Advocate Blow Job Award #3: To the anonymous blog commenters who post bogus comments with links to mal-ware contaminated websites.

I've been getting a ton of anonymous "comments" of late but have resisted the mounting temptation to apply captcha bot screening technology to filter out the scammer spammer commentators. I'll hold off a bit longer at least.

But the one below deserves my sparingly awarded and not so coveted Libertarian Advocate Blow Job Award. What won it was the spammer's link to an "anal beads" website. Where it really went, I have no idea. I didn't take the bait.

The link is dead, because the comment is just a screen capture of the originally emailed comment, so "anonymous," you'll get no traffic to your polluted page from my digs.

SPAMMERS, take a clue from this post: I WILL NEVER FOOKING PUBLISH YOUR GARBAGE SPAM COMMENTS. NOT EVER! GOT IT?????

Ahhhh, So THAT's what they teach at Harvard Law School...

As Harvard Law School's reputation continues to tarnish what with the likes of President BamBam's weak grasp of foundational constitutional principles, and its 1/32 Cherokee Prof Lizzie Warren's ethical challenges, now comes word that another less than illustrious graduate of the Law School has been arrested in connection with a $100 Million phony charity scam.

John Donald Cody - operating under the alias of Bobby Thompson - was (apparently) a Harvard Law School graduate and former military intelligence officer whose true identity was uncovered through 1969 military fingerprints in a database separate from the national crime system.

Libertarian Advocate's First Chickenshit Award GOES TO... Paul Krugman

Tony Lee at Breitbart.com has a piece up exposing the craven Krugman for what he is: A Chickenshit

If New York Times columnist Paul Krugman debates Austrian economist Robert Murphy, a New York food bank will get over $73,000. Yet Krugman, who believes in income redistribution to help the poor, has refused to debate Murphy.
Read the rest here

Actually, I can see why Krugman won't debate Murphy. He'd be hammered. It would be pretty much impossible to defend his disgusting suggestion the the United States would be better off under the Chicom economic model of effective slave labor enforced and managed by the  People's Liberation Army. But he's still a Chickenshit.

MSDNC Slut Mika Brzezinski foists doctored Romney clip as real thing

To this observer, it is not remotely surprising that MSNBC would tout doctored video to give a wholly inaccurate impression of a news event, given NBC's long history of such unethical conduct, but I'd have hoped that Brezinski would float somewhere above the open sewer where her production staff live. Nope, I was wrong. She's perfectly comfortable strutting her alley cat ethics for all to see. Watch the whole clip to see the REAL story.

Note to Chuck Scarborough: If you want to retain any credibility as a journalist, I suggest you demand her immediate resignation before you start looking like her thoroughly pussy-whipped co-host.

Linky Love for Virtual Mirage: Obama's Bloody Handprint Flag

Obama's Bloody Handprint Flag

Most of you have seen the new Barack Obama flag. Yes it looks a lot like a bloody handprint on the wall of the US Consulate in Benghazi where the US Ambassador was sodomized and then murdered along with two Navy SEALs who died defending him and one other as yet unnamed American who worked for the US State Department.

I'm sure that the mainstream media will never comment in any negative way about the flag, but it would seem that it's demise from the Obama for President website has been premature. Apparently some Americans found the flag offensive? How could that be? President Obama loves unicorns, little children and rainbows. In any event, they are no longer being offered by the Obama Campaign website.

News For The Obamaphate: Why I Changed My Vote

I urge all my readers to visit Why I Changed My Vote, a great new site that features everyday Americans who had voted for Barack Obama in 2008 but will now vote for Mitt Romney in 2012.

The nice thing about the website is that the people featured there come from a broad cross-section of our society from around the country and who tell their stories of profound disappointment in Obama in their own words.

There are several powerful videos to watch as each person lays out their reasons for their switch. If you stumbled upon my blog and voted for Obama in 2008 but now regret that vote, please don't think you are alone out there, you aren't and its OK not to vote for Obama, in fact its imperative that you don't if you hold out any hope for a bright and prosperous American future for your children and grandchildren.

I personally know two very rich high-powered Democrats who voted for Obama in 2008 but will NOT vote for him this year. Both told me so in whispers so as to avoid being heard by others, but they made it clear that they just wanted the economy to recover and that they couldn't see that happening under Obama. Anecdotal evidence certainly, but if I'm hearing it, so too must be many others like me.

The Romney campaign has released a new ad featuring younger voters who voted for Obama in the last election BUT WHO EMPHATICALLY WON'T BE DOING IT THIS YEAR!  H/T Eric Dondero @ Libertarian Republican.
