And this is why people on my side of the political divide could like, admire and respect Ed Koch, even as we adamantly disagreed with him.
If you operate from a basis of honesty - people can be uncomfortable with you and can disagree with you, but they generally admire you.

ReplyDeleteKoch was in that small league including gents like Joe Lieberman, with who I almost never agree but rather admire. I'll miss hizzoner.
