DAVID AXELCREEP: Master of Innuendo and Scumbag Extraordinaire

The hot story of the day is how Obama and his greasy spin-master David Axelrod are trying desperately to divert the attention of voters away from the Obamaphate's numerous and manifold failures by insinuating the existence of some dark conspiracy of foreign origin seeking to derail Demoncrat rule in the United States come November 2nd.

Basically, this is Obama's allegation in a nutshell:

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is using foreign contributions of "mysterious" origin to derail his agenda by buying advertising in support of Republican candidates around the country.

The Obamaphate's problem is that the allegations are so devoid of any substance, that media outlets normally very friendly to the Incompetent in Chief, find themselves compelled - if only to preserve what little is left of their collective credibility - to challenge the spin as less than credible.

Folks who watched CBS Face the Nation yesterday were greeted by a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence, host Bob Schieffer taking a contrary position to one of the Administration’s talking points. Talking to White House political director David Axelrod about the President’s charge that the Chamber of Commerce is using foreign donations to support GOP candidates, he asked:

SCHIEFFER: Now, I want to ask you about that because the New York Times looked into the Chamber specifically and said the Chamber really isn’t putting foreign money into the campaign. That it does charge its foreign affiliates dues that bring in less than $100,000 a year. A lot of organizations, including labor unions, do that. But the Chamber has an annual budget of $200 million. Along with that it keeps these foreign dues separate. They do spend heavily in politics — $25 million so far. They expect to spend $50 million. But this part about foreign money, that appears to be peanuts, Mr. Axelrod. Do you have any evidence that it’s anything other than peanuts?

AXELROD: Well, do you have any evidence that it’s not, Bob? The fact is that the Chamber has asserted that but they won’t release any information about where their campaign money is coming from. That’s at the core of the problem here. What we’ve seen in part because of a loophole that the Supreme Court allowed earlier this year, we now see tens of millions of dollars being spent by the chamber and a number of organizations some of which just cropped up. Ed Gillespie and Karl Rove run one of them. Tens of millions of dollars from undisclosed donors under benign names like the American cross roads fund. They’re spending heavily in all of these elections. One race in Colorado, there are six different organizations running negative ads against the Democratic senator there, Michael Bennet. No one knows where the money is coming from. My question back to you and for your next guest is, why not simply disclose where this money is coming from? And then all of these questions will be answered.

In other words Axelrod and the Democratic Party pulled this charge out of nowhere, threw it against the wall and are praying it sticks, or as Schieffer said;

I guess I would put it this way. If the only charge three weeks into the election that the Democrats can make is that somehow this may or may not be foreign money coming into the campaign, is that the best you can do?

What's most interesting to me is the question raised by Seiffert and not answered by Axelcreep.

Both the President and his chief political Apparatchik have in effect publicly accused the U.S. Chamber of Congress - a leading AMERICAN private sector business association of allowing itself to become the tool of un-named foreign persons bent on nefarious and possibly illegal interference in the U.S. electoral process. When challenged to provide evidence of the conspiracy alleged. Their feeble response is: Well, do you have any evidence that it’s not, Bob?

Hey, Axelcreep, the burden of proof is on you and dumbass. You and your nit-witted B'Oz are the ones alleging impropriety and possible violations of law. Its up to you to tender the evidence of the wrongdoing you allege. If you can't do that - because there ain't any - then STFU.

David Axelrod is an unrepentant elitist "progressive" cynic who, like BOZ and Emanuel, and Reid, and Pelosi, and Frank, and Dodd (OK, OK... I know the post would begin to look like a Book of Genesis chapter if I listed them all, but you get the idea) doesn't give a rat's backside what the people really want. I believe he knows FULL FLIPPIN WELL just how angry voters really are AT HIS BOSS and is presently at a loss on how to cope with it, though there are indications that he'll have BOZ go NASTY now that Scott Brown has won. From Sammy Benoit at Yid With Lid comes this most welcome story on how the snarling, gnashing and foaming at the mouth W.H. pack dogs were quickly dispatched, tails between their legs, when the Network Pool basically told lead dogs Rahmbo and Axelcreep to go take a flying f___k after the W.H. sought to exclude Fox News from a press briefing by Pay Commissar Ken Feinberg (Tsar is the wrong word guys).

Lets see how long Emanuel and Axelrod remain West Wing Alpha dogs, 'cause their "War On Fox" just cost their master big in credibility and political capital.

Barack Obama Continues to "Wag The Fox" Gets Bitch Slapped Instead

SLAM!! The White House got a major league bitch slap today as it tried to escalate its censorship of Fox News but received no cooperation from the other networks. On today's special report host Bret Bair told the story of Obama's foolishness (see video below).

"Today there was an announcement by the administration," Baier said. "They were putting out the pay czar, Kenneth Feinberg, as we showed you earlier for the White House pool - that Feinberg would be doing a round-robin interviews with the five-network pool that covers the White House - basically shares the costs and the daily coverage duties of covering the president.

The press pool is made up of the 5 major news organizations including CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX. FOX has been a member of the White House press pool since 1997.
Officials invited the entire press corps to the round robin interview process with the express exception of FOX News. The Washington Bureau Chiefs of all of the 5 major networks consulted. The group agreed that if FOX were not allowed to participate, that they would boycott the interview with Feinberg in protest.

Take THAT Mr President. You have damaged your personal credibility, but worse you have damaged the office which you hold.

The quite pathetic image I come away with from all of this is the little kid who owns the only football in the neighborhood and who stomps off home with it when he's not chosen as quarterback for the after-school pick-up game. How dare Fox News journalists challenge the White House? HOW DARE THEY!!! The audacity of them! Fact checking an Obama Administration Official. OUTRAGEOUS!

Well, there we have it. The White House flacks have completely blown their cool by trying to demonize a news organization and destroyed what little credibility they were clinging to in the process. Are they really that childish and insecure? It certainly appears so.

Negative 8 - Boz's Presidential Approval Index Stays in the Red

Per Scott Rasmussen's organization, Obama's negatives are holding pretty much steady with today's approval index clocking in at negative eight:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday [July 13, 2009] shows that 28% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-six percent (36%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of –8 (see trends).

Looking at the raw numbers, one can see that Obama's Strong Approval numbers are in continual slide with only 28% of voters polled now saying they "strongly approve" of his performance. This is bad news for Boz.

Let's see what bogus distraction (hot and stinky stuff) David Axelrod can find to throw at that spinning fan we also loosely call the MSM.

BOTUS Honeymoon is OVER.......... -5 Approval Index on 7-8-09

Scott Rasmussen reports today that Boz's approval index has slipped to -5. Gotta wonder who's head is gonna fall into the basket for this one: Biden's? Axelrod's? Emanuel's? Gibbs'? Nah! No doubt some lesser flunky will be eviscerated for this debacle... but, sooner or later, they're gonna run out of sacrificial lambs.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 32% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-seven percent (37%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of –5.

The number who strongly disapprove inched up another point to the highest level measured to date and the overall Approval Index is at the lowest level yet for Obama (see trends).

In the wake of last week’s disappointing report on job loss, consumer confidence has fallen to the lowest level in two months. The Rasmussen Investor Index shows investor confidence falling to the lowest level in three months. The number of investors who say the economy is getting worse jumped from 43% before the jobs report to 51% today. [emphasis mine]

The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern....
