L'Homme est le Seul Animal qu'on Puisse Plumer Plusieurs Fois.

Apparently taking inspiration from one of my favorite French sayings (above), Laurent Fabius, the SOCIALIST Foreign Minister serving France's pathetic and increasingly desperate president Francois Hollande, is claiming that there remain only 500 days to avoid a planetary climate catastrophe. Not everybody agrees with him. Some think it's far more likely that it's about 500 days before France runs into a brick wall of total financial insolvency and ruin.

Secretary of State John Kerry welcomed French foreign minister Laurent Fabius to the State Department in Washington on  Tuesday to discuss a range of issues, from Iran to Syria to climate change. Or, in the words of the foreign minister, "climate chaos." Kerry and Fabius made a joint appearance before their meeting, and the foreign minister warned that only 500 days remained to avoid "climate chaos"[emphasis added]:
Well, I’m very happy to be with John. There is no week without a phone call or a visit between John and myself, and we have on the agenda many items, many issues – Iran, because negotiations are resuming today; the question of Syria, and we shall meet next Thursday in London together; Ukraine as well; and very important issues, issue of climate change, climate chaos. And we have – as I said, we have 500 days to avoid climate chaos. And I know that President Obama and John Kerry himself are committed on this subject and I’m sure that with them, with a lot of other friends, we shall be able to reach success on this very important matter.
It is unclear what the foreign minister had in mind with the 500 days.  However, France is scheduled to host the "21st Conference of the Parties on Climate Change" in December 2015, about 565 days from now.

Knowing that man is the only animal that can be plucked several times, expect Fabius, Hollande, Kerry and Obama to seek new revenue sources to keep their badly listing ships of state afloat through the imposition of ever more economy-crippling taxes

Well there's an impressive number Mr. Malloy. BRAVO!

Gallup has just released a survey poll showing that Connecticut stands just behind Illinois with regard to the number of state residents who would out-migrate if they were in a position to do so. Fifty percent (50%) of President Obama's fellow Illinoisans would bolt for other states given the chance. Dannell Malloy - Obama's progressive bosom buddy and failing governor of Connecticut - is performing so poorly that Forty-nine Percent (49%) of Connecticut residents would also opt for an all new venue if they had their druthers.

So Bravo Danny! Between the state's abysmal fiscal condition that stands almost dead last at #49 (just ahead of New Jersey at #50) and the number of state residents itching to flee, you've really done a bang-up job.
