News from the Obamaphate: Monty Python presages Jay Carney

Below is one of the funniest skits ever played on English language television.

As you watch it, think on how closely Graham Chapman's [strike that and substitute in Michael Palin's] seedy shopkeeper's character parallels Jay Carney's now laughably idiotic performances over the last few days.

CORRECTION: Reader Yos privately sent along this appropriately snarky comment:
What impresses me the most about the parrot sketch is Chapman's near perfect resemblance to Michael Palin.  (cough)
…better than Carney's near resemblance to masculinity.
Thanks Yos. As you know, unlike high level Obamaphate officials, I do correct my misstatements when they are pointed out to me

Libertarian Advocate Blowjob Award # 5 Goes to SecDef Chuck Hagel for confusing causation with corrolation.

From Military Times comes news of a pathetic new Pentagon witch hunt aimed at ferreting out "'degrading' images of women" in the form of sexy girls featured on beer posters or car magazine pages.

Hagel is considered by many of his former Senate colleagues as being dumber than a bag of rocks; now he's gone and provided hard evidence of his stupidity by supporting the measure that "Air Force officials said the prevalence of those items may be correlated to sexual harassment and sexual assault in the workplace" [Emphasis added]."

A note to Chuck Hagel: Every 1L understands that correlation is not the same as causation.

Here's the story in all its inanity at Military Times.
